The Sign Kid's guide to picking and sticking stock chrome emblems and fun decals on cars, trucks, bikes and toolboxes.

Buying guide

Match the theme to the ride

Flags, stars, flames, paw prints and hearts are our most popular stock chrome emblem shapes. Pick one that fits the vehicle's personality.

Size it next to the factory badge

An emblem about the same height as, or a little smaller than, the nearest factory badge looks most natural.

Chrome or color

Chrome emblems add depth and shine. Printed decals add color and fun. Many people use one of each.

Measuring & installation

  1. Find a smooth spot. Fenders, tailgates and toolbox lids work well. Skip textured plastic and seams.
  2. Clean it. Wipe with rubbing alcohol and let it dry completely.
  3. Place it with tape. Use a small piece of painter's tape as a hinge so the emblem goes on straight.
  4. Press and let it cure. Press firmly for 30 seconds and keep it dry for a day.

FAQs

Do the emblems come with adhesive?

Yes. Stock chrome emblems have adhesive pre-applied. Just peel and stick.

Are they safe on paint?

Yes. The automotive adhesive is made for painted surfaces and removes with gentle heat.

Can kids put them on bikes?

Yes, with an adult's help. Smooth frames and helmets with a flat area work best.

Who are the car and dog in the pictures?

Sunkist 2 is the shop owner's own custom-painted Camaro Z28, and Bulzye is the shop's best boy.
